We are proud to launch our second high definition outside broadcast vehicle, HD2, and with the company taking on several new and exciting contracts for 2008,we are seeking broadcast professionals and trainees as we move into another busy year.

Sound Engineer

Job Description

Sound Engineers will be required to go on several outside broadcasts a week, involving travel, unsociable hours, and overnights – base is Televideo’s Sheffield office

Form part of the outside broadcast operations team as Sound Engineer

Day to day operations (kit maintenance, preparation of sound kit for OBs)

Primary Skills

  • Knowledge of systems integration
  • Experience of analogue and digital mixing consoles

Secondary Skills

  • Experience with communications equipment would be beneficial
  • Skills Taught Within the Role
  • Live Television protocols
  • Trained in use of industry specific equipment

Vision Engineer

Job Description

Vision Engineers will be required to go on several outside broadcasts a week, involving travel, unsociable hours, and overnights – base is Televideo’s Sheffield office

Form part of the outside broadcast operations team as Vision Engineer

Day to day operations (kit maintenance, preparation of kit for OBs, maintenance of OB Units)

Primary Skills

  • Knowledge of systems integration and electronic engineering

Secondary Skills

  • Working knowledge with PCs, previous experience with video equipment a bonus

Skills Taught Within the Role

  • OB Vision control
  • Live Television protocol

HGV Driver / Rigger

Job Description

Televideo’s HGV Driver / Rigger position will involve unsociable hours, long travel and overnights. Your base will be our Sheffield office

To drive a range of outside broadcast vehicles to venues across the UK and Europe

To form part of the outside broadcast rigging team once trucks are onsite, including rigging cables and technical equipment

Day to day operations (vehicle maintenance, preparation of kit for OBs)

Primary Skills

  • HGV Class 1 Driving Licence

Skills Taught Within the Role

  • HGV Driver/Rigger may have the opportunity to learn outside broadcast operational skills.
