On October 27 th 2006 Televideo provided the Outside Broadcast facilities and crew for The Two Faces of Mitchell and Webb – a comedy stage show by double-act David Mitchell and Robert Webb, of Peep Show fame. It seems 2006 has been a busy year for the pair, who having also made That Mitchell and Webb Look for BBC2, decided to produce a Christmas DVD to take an extremely successful year out with a bang.

The Televideo crew were most enthusiastic about working at The Grand Opera House in York, where the comedians performed their stage show, later to become The Two Faces of Mitchell and Webb: Live DVD. The company used Unit 1 on the outside broadcast, one of the larger trucks in the Televideo fleet, as the event demanded numerous VTRs, as well as 7 cameras. After the show, Fiona O’Mahoney of Spudnik Productions commented that: ‘’ We loved working with you and your crew…and the pictures look wonderful.’’

The Televideo crew were very happy to be doing the job, and with plenty of laughs coming throughout the show, it was a pleasant change following a fast and furious summer of motor sports and football, to be able to enjoy British comedy at its best.
