Televideo OB at Wembley Stadium's first cup final

The new Wembley Stadium

Saturday 19 th May 2007 will be remembered as the day of the first ever FA Cup Final at the new £800 million Wembley Stadium. After nearly 7 years, the new stadium was able to open its door’s to its biggest event yet – the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Chelsea. A staggering crowd of 90,000 attended the game – and Televideo were pleased to be there, providing coverage for the world feed for client CSI Sport.

Televideo’s outside broadcast unit HD1 was used on the event, which saw coverage being broadcast to 100 countries worldwide, with an estimated viewing audience of 2 billion. The broadcast went extremely well, and Televideo crew were proud to have been a part of a day that will go down in history as the day Wembley opened its doors to the FA Cup Final once again.
