Presenter Lee McKenze Winner Greg Harlow Live from Ponds Forge, Sheffield

Televideo were pleased to produce four live programmes for Sky Sports, when the World Bowls Tournament was held at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, in Sheffield, on Thursday 21 st and Friday 22 nd June. The Co-operative Funeralcare World Match Play Championship saw the world’s top eight players battle it out to become world number one. Thursday 21 st June saw the Quarter Finals being aired within an afternoon and evening show live on Sky Sports 2. The Semi-final and Final were then played on Friday 22 nd June. England’s Greg Harlow, seeded world number two, beat fellow countryman Mervyn King to become the 2007 champion.

Televideo used newly-refurbished OB Unit 4 to cover the event, with a 7-camera specification, including 2 jimmy jibs. Presenter Lee McKenzie was joined by David Corkill and Ian Bond in commentary, as well as guests from the world of bowls. Televideo were pleased to have produced 13 ½ hours of live television for Sky Sports over the two days. A further seven highlights programmes will be broadcast on Sky Sports in mid-July.
