On Sunday 24th June Televideo provided the outside broadcast facilities for the BBC’s Sunday AM, which came live from the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. The programme was broadcast from the Labour Party Leadership Conference, at which Harriet Harman became new deputy Labour leader, and PM Gordon Brown was formally announced as Tony Blair’s successor. Presenter Andrew Marr interviewed former Labour leader Lord Kinnock, and former Conservative Chancellor Kenneth Clarke MP, as well as being joined by BBC political correspondent Nick Robinson for his views on the Leadership Conference. John Prescott MP and Sir Ian McKellen also spoke with Andrew Marr.

Producers at Sunday AM were very pleased with the result of the show. Despite an overnight rig in bad weather conditions, with the added difficulty of extreme security at the venue, the programme went extremely well, with the venue, and exciting atmosphere contributing to the overall production. Libby Jukes, producer of Sunday AM, said “We were very pleased with the look of the programme on air. You certainly made the most of the location, with very nice shots, lighting and sound. The output was most impressive.”
