Televideo provided outside broadcast facilities for one of the UK’s most popular soap operas in August, as a Hollyoaks storyline took cast and crew right into the middle of an exploding church in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. The OB specification included 4 High Definition cameras, as well as 1 super slow motion HD camera, to capture multiple angles of the explosion, which was filmed over a 2 day period.
The company’s newest high definition unit, HD2, was used it its full advantage in the unusual setting of St Joseph’s Seminary. Having been purpose built for outside broadcasts where space is at a premium, HD2 packs phenomenal power and versatility into a compact yet comfortable unit. With an 8 camera capability, and state of the art equipment in the production, sound and VT areas of the unit, HD2 really is the perfect solution for clients wanting the output of a medium sized OB, but with a small physical footprint.
