Televideo to provide HD facilities for Greenlight TV for 2008 Season

The 2008 season of the FIA GT Championship will be covered in High Definition, as competition promoter, the Stéphane Ratel Organisation, made the decision to move the sport into HD in anticipation of becoming a world series in 2010; it will be one of the first major race series to be broadcast in HD, and Televideo are thrilled to be the Outside Broadcast facility providers for production company Greenlight Television. The company will cover seven of the ten rounds across the 2008 season, and flagship unit HD1 will travel across Europe to each circuit.
Televideo take the production to Hull FC for a Live OB

Sunday 27 th April saw Televideo take the BBC Super League production on the road again, as presenter Harry Gration and regular studio guest Robbie Paul did the show from Hull FC’s KC Stadium, bringing viewers all the latest rugby league action and news from the ground, as well as a report on Dwain Chamber’s rugby league debut for the Castleford Tigers, and game analysis from round 12 of the Engage Super League with former Hull FC full back, Shaun Briscoe.
Televideo produce BSB highlights show

Televideo were pleased to produce the first of a 12-show highlights series for Channel 4 last week, as the British Superbikes Championship finally took off at Thruxton on Sunday 20 th April, after being snowed off at the Round One circuit of Brands Hatch. After the false start teams were raring to go, and the Bennetts British Superbikes highlights show brought viewers all the very best action from Thruxton. James Cracknell returns to the sport this season as presenter of the Channel 4 show, and during the season will catch up with all the riders as they fight for the BSB crown.
Televideo provide OB for Conker Media

The first ever Hollyoaks Music Show proved to be a huge success with viewers when it was aired on Sunday 23 rd March on as part of T4’s Easter Special. Televideo were pleased to be involved as outside broadcast providers to production company Conker Media, an associate of Lime Pictures, when the programme was recorded at the Hollyoaks studios on Saturday 15 th March.

The exciting deal will see the Bennett’s British Superbike Championship enjoy an unprecedented amount of both live and delayed coverage within the UK, and for the first time the sport will be broadcast internationally, with the potential to reach 28 million households across 53 countries.
32-show Rugby League Series

Televideo are delighted to have secured a contract to produce The Super League Show, the BBC’s rugby league highlights programme, broadcast every week in the North West, Yorkshire & North Midlands, North East & Cumbria, and East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire regions. The 32-programme series will be aired on Sundays, beginning on Sunday 3rd February.
Ice Hockey and Netball Productions Bring in the Viewers!

Recent viewing figures for Televideo’s Sky Sports productions have proved extremely impressive – together the Elite Ice Hockey show and the Co-operative Netball Superleague have brought in a staggering 1.67 million viewers since the shows began in late September and October respectively.

After the success of the first televised eason of the Netball Superleague series, which reached an impressive 1.8 million viewers, Televideo are pleased to announce that Sky Sports have signed a 3 year contract to broadcast future seasons, from 2007-2010. Televideo, with partners England Netball, last year contributed to the continuing growth of the number one female sport in the country, with a 23-show series on Sky Sports.
Televideo launch new High Definition OB Unit

Televideo were pleased to launch their new outside broadcast vehicle, HD2, last week. Having been under construction for several months, the unit’s first outside broadcast, at Liverpool Reserves FC’s home game against Blackburn went without a glitch, much to the delight of the crew, many of whom had been involved with the truck’s development from the outset.
