Coming July 2016
Preparations for Televideo's Training Academy are well underway, as we work towards our launch in September. Our partnership with The Sheffield College is now confirmed - we will look to recruit 14 apprentices from the Sheffield College Hillsborough campus, which has recently unveiled an £8.8 million state-of-the-art facility to train in the skills that creative industries need. Students' time will be divided between the college campus, base learning at Televideo's Sheffield offices, and onsite training at OB locations across the UK. The program will offer young people the opportunity to continue their education in a professional outside broadcast and production environment.
Paul Scivill, Managing Director of Televideo, himself a former engineering apprentice and Sheffield College alumnus, said: “We need more staff with the right skills and training to support business growth. Currently, we have to look for staff nationally when our priority is to recruit home grown talent and invest in the broadcast industry regionally.”
He added: “Our new partnership with The Sheffield College will help us to achieve that and provide training and career prospects to learners at all levels including apprentices as well as diploma and foundation degree students.”
With the latest technologies at our finger tips, an impressive client base, and talented mentors to guide you - what better way is there to begin your career in the exciting and high-pressure world of television broadcast and production?
