On Sunday 28th May, over 60,000 Celtic supporters packed in to Celtic Park in the name of charity – it was a day of true celebration, following the Scottish FA Cup Final the day before, which saw Celtic take the historic treble.

The Celtic FC foundation put together an all star line up of celebrities and past Celtic heroes, to take to the hallowed turf one last time. Henrik Larsson and Lubo Moravcik headlined the who’s who of greats as they captained the likes of Neil Lennon, Alan Thompson, Bobo Balde, Harold Brattbakk and Stillian Petrov. Current Celtic captain Scott Brown and Kris Commons also took part, to the delight of the crowd, who were keen to celebrate an undefeated season and historic victory the day before.

The game was broadcast live on Premier Sports and Celtic TV, and Televideo were delighted to be able to provide outside broadcast and production facilities.

The 10-camera OB was operated out of HD8, with the show being fronted by Rob Maclean, joined by Celtic and Scotland legend Murdo Macleod. Connor Morris was joined in commentary by former Leicester City stalwart and Scotland international Matt Elliott.

“Henriks Heroes” ran out eventual 5-2 winners over “Lubo’s Legends”, thanks in main to a hat trick by the main man, Larsson himself. The fans were in jubilant mood all afternoon in a sun-soaked Glasgow, and being able to celebrate the historic achievements of the team, as well as recognise some of their greatest past heroes, made for a fantastic occasion that really shone through the screen for what was a very worthy cause and occasion.
