British Super Bikes Championship
Another great season on Eurosport
Having provided the facilities for the hugely popular British Superbike series for 15 years, Televideo were once again delighted to team up MotorSport Vision to deliver British Eurosport coverage of the 2017 season, which promised to be as fast paced and exciting as ever.
Televideo’s revamped HD4 unit was once again the facilitating truck, having been refurbished with this prominent contract in mind. With the capability to take in up to 20 Sony HDC2500 cameras and HDC3300 slo mo cams as required, not to mention an 8 x 46” flat screen monitor stack with up to 110 individual source monitors, 5 x 6 channel EVS positions, 2 rows of production desks, 5.1 sound capability and top-end edit suite facilities - every possible requirement is available to ensure only the best coverage for the series. On top of this there is more than enough room and space for the substantial amount of crew to work and operate in the manner required for 8+ hours of live TV output each round.
The 2017 season proved to be as breathtaking and exciting as ever, and it all came down to the final race of the season at Brands Hatch in October. Championship leader Lean Haslam crashed out of the race on lap 6 which opened up the door of opportunity for Shakey Burns to retain the BSB championship for the first time following his 2016 triumph. It was a fitting finish to another exhilarating season in the British Super Bikes.
