Live rugby league for Premier Sports
Televideo are thrilled to be covering rugby league once again for Premier Sports – this time, with the arrival of League 1’s first trans-Atlantic team, the Toronto Wolfpack. The Canadian-based outfit are set to begin their first professional season in a few weeks time, with Premier Sports to broadcast all home and away games throughout the season.
Televideo will provide OB and production facilities for all UK games, beginning on Saturday 4th March with a trip to the New River Stadium, where Toronto will face the London Skolars. Coverage will be presented by Dave Woods, who will be joined in the studio by faces from the world of rugby league, including one of the legends of the game Brian Noble – a man who has been integral in the setting up of the Toronto deal, and who will act as the Wolfpack’s Director of Rugby. Aaron Murphy completes the talent team, bringing a Canadian twist to the coverage, as well as all reactions, behind-the-scenes content, and interviews from each ground.
Premier Sports viewers were treated to a preview game on Sunday 22nd January, when the Wolfpack played their first ever fixture against last year’s Challenge Cup winners, Hull FC. It was a narrow victory to the home side, with Hull taking the game 26-20 – but Paul Rowley’s Toronto team were pleased with their first run out.
It looks set to be an exciting season – join us on Saturday 4th March at 1.45pm for the exclusive coverage of London Skolars v Toronto Wolfpack.
