2017 Season – Live on Eurosport
Once again Televideo and Eurosport are working hand in hand to provide the very best coverage of one of the most exciting and exhilarating motor sports around. As March turned to April, the start of the brand new British Superbike season was front and centre. Having provided the facilities for the hugely popular British Superbike series for over 15 years, Televideo were once again delighted to team up with Eurosport for the coverage of the 2017 season, which promised to be as fast paced and exciting as ever.
Starting with Round 1 at Donington Park on 1st April, the series will move through the whole country and even Europe, as it takes in some of the world’s most historic race circuits. Oulton Park, Silverstone, Knockhill, Assen (Holland) and many more, will welcome some of the sport’s best riders, before the season climaxes at the world famous Brands Hatch circuit on 14th and 15th October.
Televideo’s revamped HD4 unit has will be used on the 2017 series. With circuit sizes and requirements changing from round to round, our experienced crew are consistent throughout the season, and responsive to requirements on site. From 8 cameras at Knockhill to 15 at Assen, each OB brings different challenges. With each round requiring between 30 and 50 crew members, the BSB coverage for Eurosport is certainly a significant technical operation, but one that the Televideo team continue to relish and are delighted to be a part of.
After his win in 2016, Shane “Shakey” Byrne will be keen to retain his title, but will likely face stiff opposition from Leon Haslam and a returning 2015 winner Josh Brookes. With one of the most competitive fields in years, the 2017 BSB title really could be anyone’s, and Televideo will be there every step of the way.
