January was a busy month for the Televideo production team, with 30 hours of original programming supplied to broadcaster Sky Sports. The busy stint began on Friday 6th January with a live show – the Rapid Solicitors Elite Ice Hockey League show, which came from Coventry. This was the second of four live programmes across the series; the next live event is scheduled to come from Braehead on 1st March. On non-live weeks, a 1-hour highlights programme is produced, featuring action from across the league.
Saturday 7th January saw the first programme of the 2012 netball season, with a new competition starting off the year. The Cathedral City Lighter Fastnet Grand Prix was a 3-day tournament over 2 weeks, and was transmitted as 3 as-live productions. On Thursday 19th January a live show marked the beginning of Superleague, as the team aired the show from the Hertfordshire Sports Village in Hatfield..
Meanwhile the British Basketball League show continued, with 3 as-live productions and the live BBL Cup final taking place in January. The final was a fantastic event as always, with the NIA Arena in Birmingham packed out to watch the Newcastle Eagles face the Plymouth Raiders.
