NBL Badminton is Back!

OB and Production for BT Sport

The third season of the National Badminton League has made an exciting move to BT Sport this year, and Televideo are delighted to continue providing outside broadcast and production facilities to clients at Badminton England.

The UK’s first ever professional league has enjoyed huge success since its launch in October 2014, with an estimated 1.1 million households tuning in to watch the new format, which includes double point Power Plays, time-outs, tie-breaks, and a shortened score system.

This season Televideo will provide OB facilities on all 7 Match Nights, as well as the dramatic NBL Finals Day. The 4-camera broadcast, which will also be taken live by Eurosport Asia, will be edited by Televideo’s post-production department and supplied to BT Sport as an as-live extended highlights production the day after the event.

The first fixture will see Surrey Smashers take on last season’s runners up, Loughborough Lightning, and will be shown on Thursday 27th October at 8pm on BT Sport 2.
