Over recent months Televideo have produced edits and provided the AV facilities for various prestigious awards dinners, events which come naturally to a company with a long history of covering corporate events. 

After the success of the inaugural 2008 event, Televideo once again fully produced the Co-operative Netball Superleague Player of the Year Awards for 2009, which took place at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham on Friday 17th April.  The event was hugely successful, and was presented by the face of netball, Ingrid Hagemann, who took guests on a trip down memory lane, looking back over the fantastic season and the sport’s achievements with a season montage, edited to upbeat music to get the crowd in the mood!  The awards ceremony was led by Ingrid, with Televideo providing the crew and equipment to play in all the nominee and winner clips onto the big screen, much to the delight of the watching Superleague stars. 

Televideo’s production team worked on all aspects of the event, designing the set and providing appropriate lighting to create the right atmosphere for the size of the room, the number of guests, and the client’s preferences.  All scripts were written by the company, who worked closely with Ingrid Hagemann to ensure the presentation on the night went smoothly.  Clients England Netball provided nominee and winner details, and the Televideo post-production department created a fantastic showcase for each nominee, with longer montages for winners, which were played on their approach to the stage.  Taylor-made graphics were also created, which added to the professional yet glamorous output. An ENG cameraman was also provided to capture the special moments, and to ensure that video news reel packages could be created and distributed if needed – a great way of promoting the sport and of course the ever supportive sponsors. 

On Tuesday 23rd September 2008, Televideo produced and covered National League Celebration Dinner for the Rugby Football League.  This event came from the Conference and Exhibition Centre at Leeds’ Elland Road, and OB Unit 3 was used on this slightly larger-scale event.  Following a similar format to the Co-operative Netball Superleague awards event, Televideo produced several of the edits for the awards categories, again with specifically made graphics designed to add impact to each award category.  A camera was used on the big screen, which followed winners on to the stage and provided guests seated at the back of the room, a better look at the presentations on stage.  The decision to use OB Unit 3 allowed Televideo’s director and producer to mix between the edits, the graphics and the camera footage from inside the venue. 

Televideo’s most recent awards event was the Sheffield United Player of the Year Dinner, sponsored by the Malta Tourism Authority, which took place at Bramall Lane on Tuesday 5th May.  Televideo produced the nominee and award edits for the 6 prestigious awards, as well as an exciting season montage which was played as an opening to the awards presentations.  The event, presented by Harry Gration, was a huge success, especially with spirits high in anticipation of Sheffield United’s potential promotion to the Premier League .
