Once again Televideo and Eurosport are working hand in hand to provide the very best coverage of one of the most exciting and exhilarating motor sports around, the British Superbikes Championship, for clients Motor Sport Vision. Having provided the facilities for some memorable moments in BSB over the years, we are once again delighted to be at the heart of the sport and its coverage for the 10th consecutive year, having first started in 2006.
After facilitating BSB for several years in HD4, the 2015 season marks the first for HD7, allowing the next step up for the coverage and delivery in line with the changing demands and requirements of our clients. 16 x 23” digital displays each completely configurable with up to 8 images on each monitor, giving a typical display of 64 source monitors, ensure that every possible angle is covered. Two tiered rows of production seating, and separate Final Cut Pro edit facilities ensure there is more than enough room for the substantial crew required for the 8+ hours of live TV output each round.
With circuit sizes and requirements changing from round to round, the experienced crew are consistent throughout the season and responsive to requirements onsite. From 8 cameras at Knockhill to 15 at Assen, each OB brings different challenges in rigging these vastly differing circuits. With OBs requiring between 30 and 50 crew members, the BSB coverage for Eurosport is certainly a significant technical operation, but one that the Televideo team relish and are delighted to be a part of.
