On 23rd October Televideo announced plans to produce a television series for the England Netball Association, to be aired on Sky Sports. The 23-show series will follow the ENA Superleague, as well as 6 test series matches between international teams. A full match will be played during every show, in addition to special feature pieces, competitions and guest interviews. Each week Televideo will cover all the games, highlights of which will be shown on the programme.

Netball is recognised as the country’s leading women’s team sport. The England Netball Association has approximately 61,000 registered members, and 2,552 schools are affiliated with many Junior Leagues in operation. The game is thriving thanks to the England team’s fantastic performance over past seasons, and Sky Sports believe the programme will be a great success. The target audience is expected to be 97.1% female, with 72% of that audience under the age of 35. With a relatively secure demographic, Televideo will be able to create a stylised and fashionable programme that will prove popular with young, female viewers.

The series will consist of 23 shows featuring top class netball, to be shown on Sky Sports 3 times per week. The 2-hour show will be aired to catch the early evening audience, and will feature a full game, as well as interviews, competitions, game analysis, magazine style features and competitions. Televideo will be the sole production company involved in the series - the outside broadcasts, production, graphics and post-production will all be done in-house. The production team at Televideo are very enthusiastic about being involved in every aspect of the programme. It is hoped that the series, along with the ENA’s continued success, will help the ever increasing popularity of the game, and bring it further into the sporting limelight.
