Televideo were pleased to produce the first of a 12-show highlights series for Channel 4 last week, as the British Superbikes Championship finally took off at Thruxton on Sunday 20 th April, after being snowed off at the Round One circuit of Brands Hatch. After the false start teams were raring to go, and the Bennetts British Superbikes highlights show brought viewers all the very best action from Thruxton. James Cracknell returns to the sport this season as presenter of the Channel 4 show, and during the season will catch up with all the riders as they fight for the BSB crown.
The one-hour long programme, which will be aired on the Tuesday evening after each round, will feature highlights from both of the races, as well as rider interviews, special features, competitions, and all the latest news and views from the world of British Superbikes. It looks set to be another thrilling season, and James Mitchell, producer of the show, looks forward to the series ahead: “Having worked on the broadcast side of British Superbikes for several years, its great for Televideo to be able to produce the highlights show for Channel 4. It’s a fantastic spectator sport, and the show is packed full of the very best bits from across the weekend.” The production marks the return of the BSB Championship to Channel 4, who last broadcast the sport in 2005. The next show will feature Round 3 action from the challenging circuit of Oulton Park, and will be aired on Channel 4 on Wednesday 7 th May at 2am.
