The first ever Hollyoaks Music Show proved to be a huge success with viewers when it was aired on Sunday 23 rd March on as part of T4’s Easter Special. Televideo were pleased to be involved as outside broadcast providers to production company Conker Media, an associate of Lime Pictures, when the programme was recorded at the Hollyoaks studios on Saturday 15 th March.

T4’s Rick Edwards presented the spin-off show alongside Hollyoaks star Matt Littler, which saw bands such as The Guillemots, One Night Only and The Courteeners, as well as unsigned artists, perform across the Hollyoaks set - acoustic acts came from the soap’s pub, The Dog in the Pond, and full band spots were performed in The Loft nightclub. The production also included interviews with the bands conducted by some of the stars of the teen soap, as well as special music features.

Televideo provided the outside broadcast facilities across the Mersey Television Studios where the Hollyoaks’ permanent sets are located, using flagship unit HD1 on the event. Televideo also provided the guarantee crew for the broadcast, including sound and vision engineers, camera guarantee and VT supervisor.

The Hollyoaks Music Show is one of several music events Televideo have provided facilities for recently – the company’s music credits also include a variety of music videos, a webcast for Paul McCartney, Back in the World, and the Kaiser Chiefs concert from the Doncaster Dome, for the BBC Red Button.
