Televideo Training Academy

Inaugural apprenticeship program begins

Monday 5th September marked the first day of the inaugural Televideo Training Academy program – a 1-year course running in conjunction with The Sheffield College. The company welcomed 8 new members of staff, who will work alongside the Televideo team as Broadcast Trainees. Over the duration of the course, the apprentices will spend time in a number of departments, including sound, cameras, VT, engineering, operations and post-production. They will also complete a Level 3 diploma in Creative and Digital Media.

The new recruits have been initiated into the company by working on a range of productions and broadcasts, including the British Superbikes, the Rugby League Four Nations, and streams for the British Basketball League. In-house camera tutorials, a Jimmy Jib workshop, a course in the set-up and operation of Tricaster systems, as well as a beginners course in VizRT graphics, have formed the early part of their broadcast education.
